The chemical composition control of S460QL steel plate is a complex and precise process involving multiple links and parameters.
Raw material selection: First of all, selecting high-quality raw materials is the basis for ensuring the stability of the chemical composition of the steel plate. These raw materials should meet relevant standards and undergo strict screening and testing.
Smelting control: During the smelting process, parameters such as the atmosphere, temperature, and time in the furnace must be strictly controlled to ensure the purity of the molten steel and the uniformity of its composition. At the same time, the required alloying elements are accurately calculated and added according to the target composition requirements.
Alloying process: During the alloying process, the amount and order of addition of alloy elements must be precisely controlled to ensure that the steel plate obtains the required mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. This requires an in-depth understanding of the properties, effects, and interactions of alloying elements.
Refining and degassing: Through the refining and degassing process, impurities and gases in the molten steel are removed, further improving the purity and quality of the molten steel.
Continuous casting and rolling: During the continuous casting and rolling process, the appropriate cooling rate and rolling process must be controlled to ensure that the chemical composition and organizational structure of the steel plate are uniform.
Finished product inspection: Conduct chemical composition analysis on the finished steel plate to ensure that it meets standard requirements. If steel plates that do not meet the requirements are found, traceability and process parameters need to be adjusted.
S460QL steel plate has a series of excellent properties, allowing it to perform excellently in various application fields.
Excellent mechanical properties: S460QL steel plate has high strength and hardness, its tensile strength is between 400~550MPa, and the yield strength is greater than 460MPa. This makes it capable of meeting the needs of heavy-duty and impact structural parts such as wheels, gears and axles. At the same time, its good wear resistance and fatigue resistance make it excellent in the manufacturing of parts that are subject to high-frequency vibration and cyclic stress, such as engines and compressors.
Good process performance: S460QL steel plate has good weldability and processability. With proper preheating and welding processes, good quality welded joints can be obtained. In addition, it has good machinability and can be used for cutting, drilling, bending and other operations under various processing conditions, providing great convenience for the manufacturing process.
Excellent corrosion resistance: S460QL steel plate has good resistance to corrosion under various atmospheric conditions at normal temperature, especially in the marine atmosphere. However, it should be noted that in high temperature and high humidity environments, its corrosion resistance may be affected to a certain extent.
Environmental performance: S460QL steel plate is a green and environmentally friendly material. Environmentally friendly technology is used in its production process to reduce the emission of pollutants such as waste gas, waste water and noise, and meets the environmental protection requirements of modern industry.
