Q235B Welded Steel Pipe Manufacturing Process

1. Raw material preparation
Steel that meets the Q235B standard is selected and strictly inspected, including appearance, chemical composition and mechanical properties testing. Qualified steel is stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse to prevent rust and damage.
2. Steel strip forming
Uncoiling and leveling: Unroll the rolled steel strip and level it to ensure flatness.
Edge processing: Use shearing, milling and other methods to make the edge of the steel strip meet the welding requirements.
Forming: Bend the steel strip into the required shape through the forming machine, and control the parameters to ensure dimensional accuracy and regular shape.
3. Welding process
Resistance welding or submerged arc welding can be used. Resistance welding is fast and efficient; submerged arc welding is suitable for large diameter thick-walled pipes with stable welding quality. Reasonably set parameters such as current, voltage, speed, etc. to ensure the stability of the welding process and the quality of the weld. After welding, perform appearance inspection and non-destructive testing, such as ultrasonic and radiographic testing, to check for internal defects in the weld.
4. Subsequent processing
Sizing and straightening make the outer diameter of the steel pipe meet the standard and eliminate bending and distortion. Cut to the length required by the customer, and flatten the head to ensure the flatness of the pipe mouth. Surface treatment such as galvanizing and painting improves corrosion resistance and aesthetics.
5. Quality Inspection and Packaging
Fully inspect finished steel pipes, including size, mechanical properties, chemical composition and weld inspection, to ensure compliance with standards. Qualified steel pipes are packaged by bundling and packing, and the packaging materials are moisture-proof and rust-proof. They are stored in dry and ventilated warehouses for easy transportation and storage. In short, the welded steel pipe manufacturing strictly controls the process and inspection to ensure quality performance.
