Q345C welded steel pipe common faults and treatment methods
Q345C welded steel pipe may have some common faults during production, transportation, storage and use, which will affect the performance and service life of the steel pipe if not handled in time. The following are some common faults and their solutions:
1. Welding joint cracks: Welding joint cracks are usually caused by high welding heat input, slow welding speed or material defects. The treatment methods include optimizing welding parameters, adjusting welding sequence, and using appropriate preheating and post-heat treatment to reduce welding stress.
2. Porosity: The cause of porosity is mostly wet welding materials, impure protective gas or excessive welding current. In order to prevent air holes, the welding material should be kept dry, the protective gas should be pure, and the welding process parameters should be adjusted reasonably.
3. Edge biting: During the welding process, if the welding current is too low or improper operation, it is easy to lead to the edge biting phenomenon on the surface of the Q345C welded steel pipe. It can be prevented by increasing the welding current, cleaning the surface of the welding joint, and adjusting the welding Angle.
4. Welding deformation: The thermal stress imbalance in the welding process will lead to the deformation of the Q345C welded steel pipe. The solution is to arrange the welding sequence reasonably, avoid local overheating, and carry out cooling and correction treatment.
5. Surface corrosion and scratches: Q345C welded steel pipe may cause surface scratches or corrosion during use due to external friction or environmental factors. The surface of the steel pipe can be protected by cleaning treatment, spraying anti-corrosion coating or hot dip galvanizing treatment.
6. Scale on the inner wall of the pipeline: During long-term use, scale or oxide may accumulate on the inner wall of the pipeline. Regular chemical cleaning or mechanical cleaning, the use of anti-corrosion coating can effectively reduce scaling.
In general, for the common faults of the Q345C welded steel pipe, appropriate repair and preventive measures, such as optimizing the welding process, regular inspection, cleaning and anti-corrosion treatment, can effectively improve the performance of the steel pipe and extend the service life.
